The Lauren Wolf Band "Rise Up"

The Lauren Wolf Band is returning with a new album called "Rise Up". This is the follow up to the band's 2011 debut album "All My Secrets" and finds the band venturing into a more soul and blues rock sound. The album features ten original songs and a solid Bee Gees cover and will be released by CAU Dog Records on September 20th.

You help The Lauren Wolf Band celebrate the release of Rise Up on Sept. 20th at 27 Live in Evanston. The band will also be premiering a video for their new single "Run Daddy Run" at this event.

LWKY "No Sleep"

Last month we shared the first single from the new EP, No Sleep, from electronic music duo LWKY. Today their new EP is out and available for free download via soundcloud. This is the duo's second release and now it is time for you to "Make You Move".

Kid Sister is Jane Jupiter

Jane Jupiter is the secret or not so secret identity of Kid Sister and as Jane Jupiter she has released a new mixtape called Dusk2dawn. The video finds her dressed as a human disco ball and taking a on a more pop and dance friendly persona. The mixtape features contributions from Different Sleep, Dam-Funk, Bukkwheat Bill, and more.

Ryan Powers and The Secret Weapons

The latest single, "Mr. Sunshine", from Ryan Powers and The Secret Weapons is super catchy and is accompanied by a well-shot video.

Small House Song

Small House Songs is the production work of Steven Serra and on their first two singles the beautiful and soulful vocals of Vanessa Norman. The group is slightly mysterious at this point, including the odd hardwood floor image they use, but the sound speaks for itself.

Spooky Company

The Glen Ellyn based Pysch-rock band Spooky Company is the new project from Morgan Samson (Atlas Murphy). Last week the trio released their debut EP "Bully" and you can stream it below.

Michael Chorvat

The new album, The Light, from former Treaty of Paris frontman Michael Chorvat is powerful sonically and spiritually. The album follows Michael through his spiritual journey and through each of the Chakras. You can stream the album today on Michael's soundcloud, but recommend you pick it up at Schubas and become a little more enlightened.

You can catch Michael Chorvat (Treaty of Paris, Ryan Powers and The Secret Weapons) and help him celebrate the release of his new album The Light at Schubas on Sept 16th with Model Stranger and Mama Jimi.
