Read it digitally here.

P.S. 10k free copies of this issue hit the street of Austin during SXSW Music week!

Boy King Island

The duo of Jason Hunt & Zachary Mastoon (aka Boy King Island) have released their new LP White Mirror. The hazy dream-pop album is available on clear vinyl, CD or digitally. This is the band's follow-up the 2012 Plustape release Sun Worship. The band released a video for the album's opening track, "Constellation", last month.

The Luck of Eden Hall Kickstarter campaign

Psych band The Luck of Eden Hall have 6 days left on their current kickstarter campaign. The band is trying to raise funds for a UK tour this summer and in the process are rewarding fans with some pretty cool rewards including their upcoming album The Acceleration of Time to be released by Headspin Records. Check it out and support a great Chicago band!

Budway Ferris @ Quenchers Saloon

Newcomers Budway Ferris have released their first single, "Mountain Song". The band is fronted by Budway himself along with Kelsey Tortorice and backed by Jake Gold (guitar), Benji Jacobs (bass) and Elliot Borg (drums). I am not sure what mountains they are singing to here in Chicago but I love the tune and am looking forward to big things to come.

You can catch Budway Ferris at Quenchers Saloon on April 30th with Heroin Chic and The Glass Eyes.

Morris Carpool

Morris Carpool is a trio that blurs the line between Country and Americana. The debut LP, American Dreamin' was released last week and is filled with blue collar tales of love, labor, and struggle.
