New Music Video: "(My Name Is) Planet 9" - Jo Kusy

Featured on his new EP Planet 9 Rhythms, Jo Kusy has also provided rad visuals for his single, “(My Name Is) Planet 9”. Saturated in shades of DayGlo, the song embodies a psych-dance mind meld. Locked into that house beat, there’s a loose, slightly odd element in the air, which reflects its creator. Kusy is slated to perform next in Philly this Sunday, June 24 at the Lucky 13 block party, and you will also be able to find him at Boot & Saddle on Saturday, July 14, along with Night Sins, The Warhawks, and Forever Chasing Honey Bees.

Video Premiere: "A Cold Wind" - Dominy

Featured on the Wet Leather LP, we’re happy to premiere the new video for “A Cold Wind” from Dominy. Cruising in the twilight hours, director Lauren Tepfer captures the single's gradual, pensive, road-weary vibe. It wears into you with a steady, semi-spoken, tell-it-like-it-is wisdom, reinforced by the hearth-glowing harmony, the twinkle of the keys, and resonating, home-welcoming, peddle steel/slide. This feels like one of those songs that one basks in, after a long night and maybe a few beverages.  You can catch an intimate, acoustic set with Dominy next Friday, June 29 at The Music Ward, joined by Rentboy, Rylan, and All Boy/All Girl. New Track: "The Red Door" - Restorations

"The Red Door" serves as the first single from Restorations long-awaited, forthcoming album, LP5000, which is scheduled for release on September 28 via Tiny Engines. After the initial wobble of keys, an anxious swell of guitar and percussion builds in anticipation. Addressing the anxiety and concern over the changes brought on by gentrification, the song is fueled by earnest, emotive energy. What are the remnants of past that last when the faces of longstanding neighborhoods are wiped away, and where do the people go? (Photo by Emily Dubin)

New Track: "Withoxt Yxu" - Welcome Center

Jesse Smith & Aaron Sternick have come together to bring us Welcome Center. The duo recently shared its debut EP Disorder. Album standout, “Withoxt Yxu,” creates a humid, electro-pop, key-percussion ripple. In a daydreaming state of limbo, one feels stuck in a situation. The trapped, melancholy perspective of the words is nicely counterbalanced by the liquidy dance groove.
